Adding a deck and summerhouse to enjoy for years to come – removing an old bomb shelter was one of our more unusual jobs!

Lawnswood Landscapes transformed our garden last winter by removing an ugly concrete air raid shelter and providing us with delightful place to sit alongside a new summer house.

We are delighted with the result which came in on time and on budget.

The team were professional, clean and tidy throughout all stages of the job and we were impressed with the standard of work. They were especially careful when removing tons of wet earth and rubble through the house and despite freezing conditions they remained friendly and cheerful.

We would highly recommend them.

Eleanor’s daughter has more space to play since we transformed a graveled area into
a beautiful lawn.

We contacted Lawnswood because we wanted to get our back garden laid to lawn. It had a large flower bed surrounded by a graveled pathway. There was also a brick encased, 2 ft high, semicircular raised bed at the back which we wanted to remove to create more space for the lawn. Once the lawn was down we thought it would be useful to have an outdoor tap fitted.

The team tackled the job with speed and efficiency and kept things as tidy as possible considering they had to haul bags of heavy gravel through the house to dispose of it (we live in a terrace property) and Pete even managed to fit an outdoor tap! His suggestions were well received whenever given and his teams friendly manner and good value would certainly ensure that we used them again.

I would certainly recommend Lawnswood landscapes services to others.

John and Julia now entertain friends and enjoy Al Fresco dining since we created a sunny secluded spot from unused waste ground.

We employed the services of Lawnswood Landscapes to provide a complete make over of our garden in the spring. When we moved to the property, the outside space could best be described as little more than an area of cracked concrete and a dumping ground for the previous owners.

Peter was able to present several options for recreating this space and went on to create a secluded yet sunny garden area that we spent many a happy an hour enjoying.

Throughout the work the Lawnswood team were professional, reliable and flexible to our requirements. We would recommend them wholeheartedly for any gardening requirements that you may have.

Nick’s small garden now feels bigger - we helped maximize his outside space with simple decking.

Pete and his team did a wonderful job at a very reasonable price. They worked quickly and efficiently to create a brilliant decking area, transforming our garden in the process. Friendly and approachable, they gave us great advice as to what would work in the space we had and on which type of wood to choose.

The overall design was simple, effective and easy to maintain.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lawnswood Landscapes’ services.

Ben added value to his property before selling – Lawnswood Lanscapes built a hardwood deck to improve the outside space.

Lawnswood Landscapes built and created outside decking at my property in North London.

At all times they were knowledgeable, helpful and provided a professional service that was also very good value for money.

The work was invaluable in encouraging the sale of this property when it was put on the market. I would highly recommended Lawnswood Landscapes. Big thanks.

Leszek had 2 areas of decking laid perfectly despite difficult and uneven surfaces.

We were fortunate to have Peter Lewis recommended to us by a close friend, and he came highly recommended.

The projects we required Peter to undertake for us were two areas of decking in our garden, approx 22sqm. The first of the areas (5m x 3m) was a little tricky to construct involving a manhole cover (which Peter made almost invisible) and constructed under concertina doors – so the decking had to be perfectly level to allow the doors to open perfectly. The second area (1.85m x 3.7m) was constructed outside an existing Tea house.

We decided on using Ipe wood, that was a little pricier than normal decking but very durable and a good investment in the long run.

Both bases were built on difficult surfaces, one concrete which involved serious digging and the second a very uneven grass lawn, that also needed levelling.

The finishing on both is excellent, from the placing of each length of wood to the side and front panels to hide the bases, to the screw placement which has been very carefully considered during the construction by Peter. Peter was also very sparing with the Ipe wood, with very little wastage, saving us further money.

Both projects came out beautifully. Even now 2 1/2 years on the decking looks excellent and still looks brand new. The only thing that needs to be done by us is the occasional lick of varnish once a year to protect it.

I am more than happy to recommend Peter for the work he undertook for us. We were really happy with the work he did for us and he was very professional in his work, and will not hesitate to use him again in the future.

If anybody requires a further reference please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
